Kinetic energy (KE) is energy in motion. Some examples of kinetic energy are a spinning bike wheel, runner, throwing a football. The amount of KE depends on 2 things: the mass of the object and its speed. The more mass, the more KE. The more speed, the more KE. Speed affects KE more than mass does.
